    2008 Boat Crew Academy Schedule (Part 2)

    BCM 03-04                 Assist the Coxswain with a pre-underway Check Off

    BCM 04-06                 Stand a lookout watch

    BCM 04-07                 Act as helmsman and steer a Compass course

    BCM 04-08                 Cast off and stow lines and fenders

    BCM 04-09                 Prepare for, moor and secure the boat to dock

    BCM 05-01                 Operate a VHF-FM radiotelephone

    BCM 05-02                 Use the VHF-FM radiotelephone to give a position/ Ops Normal report

    BCM 07-01                 Participate in a MOB evolution as a pointer

    BCM 07-02                 Participate in a MOB evolution as recovery/pickup man

    COX 03-04                 Complete a pre-underway check off of the facility

    COX 02-02                 Recognize warning signs of an unstable vessel

    COX 07-03                 Approach a burning boat and recover personnel

    COX 07-02                 Recover a person from the water using the Direct Pickup method

    COX 03-05                 Get the boat away from the dock

    COX 07-01                 Determine the approach and station keep

    COX 03-09                 Moor the boat to dock

    COX 09-03                 Review Operations Manual (COMDINST M16798.3, chapters 1-5) and IMSAR Manual (COMDINST M16130, chapter 4) in preparation for an open book, on-line test that must be passed with a minimum score of 90%.  Proof of passing must be presented to the QE not later than Oral Exam.
